The 20th century guide for mixing fancy drinks James C 1864 or 5 [from old Maloney 9781172228911 Books
Maloney's book captures the fin-de-siècle love of the luxurious and exotic in full swing, but it all seems quaint now, and mostly noted for several "bell ringer" cocktail variations. Still, these drinks represent a fascinating era in history, and thanks to many archaic ingredients becoming available again, this guide offers the possibility of "living history" at its finest. If you bought creme de violet, and now are getting tired of mixing aviations, here are some other ways to use up the rest of the bottle. You will also need a good apricot brandy, I recommend Luxardo's, which you can get in the U.S. Also, you'll need pineapple syrup, but you can make that yourself,it is always best that way. If you are going to use raw eggs, you should buy them from an actual farmer. Actually, the Bell-Ringers are rather good.Product details
