I have to disclose an interest as I knew the author at school. However, I lost touch with him over several decades and had no idea Geoff had become an author. We met again in 2013 at a school reunion. If you're a fan of Tom Sharpe and Nick Hornby, you'll love this book. It's very amusing, will bring a lot of smiles to your face, and occasionally you might even laugh out loud. Geoff has a way with words, comes up with some wonderful expressions and dialogue (perhaps influenced by living in Ireland), and the book will take you back to your own early-adult years, not only with regard to relationships but also in relation to musical memories. Well worth a read, particularly if you're going on holiday and need something lighthearted, and obviously great value.Product details
